This year the ICASSP's banquet will be celebrated as a "Bavarian Evening".
Old traditions are kept up in the large halls of the Munich breweries, and because they are ideally suited for amusement and entertainment local people and guests from all over the world feel at home here.
For that reason we offer our "Bavarian Evening" as part of our social program. There is hardly anyone who will be able to resist this special atmosphere. Here you can experience Bavarian customs at first hand in good company and enjoy the local delicacies with a "Mass", or litre, of draught beer.
After the dinner speech by Manfred Schroeder one of the wellknown bands strikes up to make it a very special occasion, together with the outstanding performances of the Shoeplattlers and the Goasslschnoizers.
Usually events like this are not open to the public, therefore it is almost impossible to find an equivalent arrangement by oneself, especially at the fair entrance fee including the full dinner, the folkloristic program and a free "Mass".
Please remember that the Awards will be given at the opening ceremony.
