2.1 Write the FrameMaker file to MIF format

Before running WebMaker, you need to save the FrameMaker document in MIF format, to a file with an extension of .MIF. Note that the file extension must be .MIF, and cannot be .mif.

To save the file in MIF format:

Open the document in FrameMaker. Its filename is simple.doc.
In FrameMaker, choose File > Save As.
In the FrameMaker Save File dialog, specify the MIF format, and the filename simple.MIF.
